A friend in the business is trying to convince me.
Hitachi Mini Excavator Question
I have a Hitachi excavator. I like it and it does a good job. It has the Hyd thumb and that is wonderful. We had to do some work on it last year and found some little parts no longer available. Electrical trouble shooting is interesting. Supposedly Japan puts switches in the negative side of the circuit. Not a problem, just different. I have a hitachi zx50 with 2800 hours on it and i love it. the zero tailswing has come in handy many times. ive rented a kubota kx121 and a kx161 which are both awsome machines. the 121 had an angle blade which was a nice feature. if i were buying new i would go with the kubota.Posted 11/11/2023 10:13 (#10477794) Subject: thoughts on a Hitachi excavator: SE Iowa: versus a Cat 326FL of same size. Just call your local John Deere dealer or HItachi dealer and run the serial number if you go with a Hitachi. I like that the HItachi's usally run Isuzu Diesels. These engines are very reliable motors. i've owned hitachi, deere, koerhing, ruston bucyrus, leased link belt, kobelco. they were all good machines, my hitachi was virutally the same machine other than paint and engine as my 690 deere.
